Connie’s family moved to Arizona in 1956, in 1971 her family returned to the family farm in Nebraska. She and her husband returned to Arizona in 2019 after retirement after living near Durango, Colorado for over 30 years. Her art work reflects the landscapes and flavors of the locations in which she has lived.
For over 35 years Connie created various functional ceramic pieces and became a Master Potter after a seven-year apprenticeship under Susan Whittmore. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in art with a minor in archaeology after going back to college after the age of 40.
Connie now enjoys surface design and has a Spoonflower shop where people can buy fabric, wallpaper, and home décor. These designs are created from her paintings done in watercolor, oil, and acyclic and can be found at https://www.spoonflower.com/profiles/connie_mason_bennett with links on her web site https://www.conniemasonbennettart.com. Prints of her paintings can be purchased on her Fine Arts of America site and if you want the original she probably still has them, as she is not into the dog and pony shows put on by galleries and art shows. https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/connie-mason-bennett
